Safety- and Maintenance valve for heated thermal rolls
People operating paper machines are permanently looking for possibilities to reduce the take-down-time for maintenance and repairs. To support this situation we have developed a valve which stops the heating medium, oil or water from running out of the roll for the time that the roll is being changed or for the time when maintenance work is being carried out on the roll – there is no need to carry out the time consuming emptying or refilling with aerating.
At the same time the valve increases the running safety. In the event of damage to the seal, or to the inlet or outlet or on the heating system itself, the IRLE AUTO LOCK SYSTEM prevents the hot heating medium from running out. The system is integrated in the new rolls and can be updated as an unproblematic compact, easy -to-service device between the sealing head and the roll journal of any existing thermal roll. Thus, making this technical achievement interesting for retrofitting.
