Shells for rolls to adjust alternating bending in calenders and press sections
We manufacture the pipes in various materials for rolls to adjust alternating bending (multi-zone rolls, S-rolls)
When being used in calenders, according to specific demands, we use chilled cast iron, the modified chrome cast iron material KSTV or hardened forged steel. For specific coated rolls the pipes are normally made from grey iron.
The application puts special demands on the shell relating to the alternating bending strength, geometry- and the surface accuracy. The running procedure of the roll depends on the evenness of the wall thickness.
For the application of rolls to adjust alternating bending in the press section we also deliver pipes in grey iron quality. These are mainly coated with PU or stainless steel.
